HEC Liège Management School - University of Liège

HEC® Liège is the management school of the University of Liège. The School is EQUIS accredited and its main Masters’ programs, all taught in English, are EPAS accredited. HEC Liège is also member of the ‘Conférence des Grandes Ecoles’ based in France.

She is one of the leading Belgian university business schools for graduate and postgraduate programs with more than 115 full-time faculty members and researchers, 11 research units and 2,700 students. The school's mission is to train creative managers who will be responsible for building the future of businesses and organizations in a cross-cultural world. HEC Liège is a dynamic institution that heavily promotes an active pedagogy leading students to actively contribute to their education. The international vision of HEC Liège translates into multiple research activities in management and economics, numerous partnerships with worldwide companies and universities, and growing internationalization of its programs and faculty. A key strength of HEC Liège is its close engagement with the businesses of the region. However, there is no paradox in this situation, as we need to have an international outlook in order to support our region’s businesses in a globalised marketplace.

HEC Liège has three key strategic objectives: to strive for academic excellence; to foster international relations; and to ensure the relevance of its programmes and activities to a managerial career. To this end, HEC Liège provides undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes and conducts research activities, while promoting those human values, behaviours and attitudes that are essential for managers. Its strategic guidelines place a lot of emphasis on consistency between research, teaching and serving the community. Six fields of excellence give the school its strategic identity: Asset & Risk Management; Changing Workplace & Strategic HRM; Social Enterprise & Business Ethics; Supply Chain Management & Business Analytics; Economic Analysis & Policy ; Sustainable performance : Tax, Audit & Accounting ; Marketing & Service Innovation.

Scientific research is in the DNA of HEC Liège. The School has a permanent research committee PRISME, headed by the research Director, and an international scientific committe (CoSci), composed of 12 internationally renowned experts.We are proud of our PhD program in Management and Economics that received the EPAS accreditation as well as our Master in Management and Master in Business Engineering. A lot of young researchers coming from all around the world participate actively to the development of research in our School.
